I served in the Army.

Ricardo Loredo, 77, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Valley Baptist Medical Center as a result of injuries he sustained from a fall.

Ricardo was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Ricardo worked at BF Goodrich as a service technician. He then went to work for the B&M Bridge as a toll collector; and retired after 30 years of faithful service. Ricardo was a proud veteran having served in the Texas National Guard.

Ricardo was an exceptional son, husband, father, and grandfather. He lovingly gave his all for his family. Ricardo was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Ricardo is preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Barrera.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Ricardo is his loving wife of 54 years, Minerva C. Villegas Loredo; his son, Richard Loredo Jr. and his wife, Carmen; his daughter, Rosie Loredo; and the two grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Cecilia and Ricardo Loredo III. Ricardo will also be missed by his many extended family members and his four legged friends.

In accordance with Ricardo’s wishes, he has been cremated. A Memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Funeral Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Ricardo’s name may be made to Sunshine Haven Hospice Facility, 7105 West Lakeside Blvd., Olmito, Texas 78575.
