Alice M. Hopperstad, 85, passed away on July 4, 2010.

Alice was a strong, brave matriarch grounded in family values and a very successful businesswoman. She valued the fine arts of music and dance, and was an artist herself in gardening, fabric, yarn, baking and cooking. She was a loyal wife and mother. Always open to learning new things, she valued education, history, and scientific discovery. Her zestful comic spirit will be with us always.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Kurtis E. Hopperstad. She is survived by her family: John, Jim, Steve, Valerie, Michael, Karen, and David; and her grandchildren: Kristen, Kurt, Chris, Lauren, and Joshua.

A Liturgical Service of Christian Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
