Cipriano “Pano” G. Saenz, 86, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle entered into the glory of his eternal life on Tuesday, July 7, 2010, at Weatherford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Pano was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. He proudly served our country during World War II as a member of the Army of the United States. He was a loyal and dedicated employee with Texaco Inc. for 32 years working as a truck driver for 18 years and as a plant operator for the last 14 years. He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Pano loved gardening and watching baseball games. He especially enjoyed cheering on the Texas Rangers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his four brothers: Juan Jose, Manuel, Mike, and Homero “Homer” Saenz.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving wife of 40 years, Oralia Saenz; his daughter, Rosalva “Rosie” Harper and her husband Richard; his grandchildren: Eduardo Perez, Tiffany Harper, and Richard Harper; one great-grandson, Aden Elkins; his brother, Leonardo G. (Elena) Saenz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and a rosary service were held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. A Liturgical Service of Christian Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. The American Legion Post 43 Honor Guard under the direction of Commander Raul Leal will conduct military honors at the graveside.
Richard Harper, David Perez Jr., Robert Rubalcava, Carlos Granado, Dr. Jose M. Gomez, and Enrique Gomez are honored to be serving as Pano’s pallbearers. Eduardo Perez, Juan Saenz and Oscar Saenz will serve as honorary pallbearers.
