Alma Daniella Rodriguez

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Alma Daniella Rodriguez entered into eternal rest on Monday, the 31st of August 2026 in Brownsville. She was 61 years of age.

Alma was born on January 7, 1965, in Tierras Coloradas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was a longtime resident of Brownsville and attended The University of Texas at Brownsville.

Alma was a very devoted sister and friend. Most of all, she was a caring daughter who worked tirelessly so that her mother could have stability and a safe space to call home and cared for her sister and brothers as if they were her own, never allowing any of them to struggle.

She always spoke her mind, said exactly what she was thinking, and never tried to be anyone other than herself. She had a way of saying the most unexpected, silly things at just the right moment, and somehow those little moments would turn into memories that had everyone laughing for days. Even now, it is easy to imagine her saying something that would make us shake our heads, smile, and laugh all over again.

Alma had a beautiful character and a style all her own. She knew how to light up a room just by walking in. Alma lived a full life alongside those she loved, including her puppy, Lynn. Her presence in this life made a significant impact on those she knew and cared for. Her spirit was compassionate and she remained strong until her last breath.

She will be greatly missed.

Preceding Alma in death are her grandparents, Isidora Valdez and Francisco Gomez; her brother, Carlos Recio, Jr.; and her nieces, Danika Ailani Rodriguez and Andrea Eleana Rodriguez

Survivors include her mother, Ricarda G. Recio; her sister, Brenda Recio; and her brother, Martin Gomez.
