Alma Barrera Torres

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Alma Barrera Torres, of Brownsville, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 27th of September 2026, in the comfort of her Brownsville residence surrounded by her family. She was 88 years of age.

Alma was born on October 29, 1937, in Brownsville, Texas, daughter of the late Jose and Bertha Barrera. She attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas and was a business owner. Alma enjoyed tending to and fixing her rental apartments.

Preceding Alma in death are her beloved husband, Mike Torres; her parents, Jose and Bertha Barrera; and her siblings, Dagoberto Barrera, Jose Barrera, and Bertha Barrera.

Survivors include her children, Chris Torres, Larry Torres, and Sandy Torres.
