BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Angelina Ramirez Cisneros, affectionately known as Angie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, the 5th of August 2025 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Realitos, Texas to her loving parents, Tomas Ramirez and Angelina Garcia, she graduated from Benavides High School in 1958 and received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&I University in Kingsville. She dedicated 34 years of her life to teaching at Clearwater Elementary School in Brownsville guiding third graders for ten years before specializing in English Language Development for fifteen years and finally enjoying nine years as the beloved school librarian.
Angie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a lifelong learner who loved to read and travel, but her passion was gardening. Her beautiful garden bloomed year-round. When she wasn’t tending her plants, she was a loyal parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed her participation in the Counting Ministry.
Preceding Angie in death are her parents, Tomas and Angelina Ramirez; and her sisters, Odilia R. Moreno and Rosabel R. Perez.
Left behind to treasure her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Cesar E. Cisneros; her son, Cesar G. Cisneros (Ann Marie), and daughters, Yvette Dramberger (Britt Murray) and Yvonne Sarradet (Rollin); her grandchildren Taylor Dramberger (Mark Guevara), Jerry Dramberger, Kyle Sarradet (Charis), Shelby Healey (Thomas), Ilsa Cisneros, and Lili Cisneros; her siblings Graciela Gonzalez, Tomas M. Ramirez (Hilda), Rene Ramirez (Elva); and numerous nieces and nephews.
