Arturo Passamen

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Arturo Passamen entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 10th of April 2026 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. He was 69 years of age.

Arturo was born on January 15, 1957 in Brownsville, Texas, son of the late Alfredo Passamen and Maria Passamen Salazar. He was a graduate of Gladys Porter High School and Texas Southmost College. His favorite pastimes included fishing, hanging out with his family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren, soccer, and playing lottery tickets. He was very dedicated to his job and he loved helping others. Arturo will be greatly missed.

Preceding Arturo in death are his parents, Alfredo Passamen and Maria Passamen, and his sisters, Minvera Espinoza and Sonia P. Edison.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Maria del Carmen Passamen; his children, Arturo Passamen, Jr. (Adela Resindez), Alberto Passamen, and Araselly Passamen (Christian Rosendo);  his grandchildren, Ashley Passamen, Melissa Passamen, Arthur Passamen, Alexa Blanco, Amber Blanco, Joseph Anthony Blanco, Jr., and baby girl Clarissa Areli Rosendo on the way; and his siblings, Alfredo Passamen, Jesus Passamen, Alfonso Passamen, and Gela Castillo.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 14th of April 2026 between the hours of one o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to be recited at seven o'clock Tuesday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. All services will conclude Tuesday night. Cremation will follow.
