Brooke Michelle Barron

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Brooke Michelle Barron, affectionately known as Brookie the Cookie, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, the 6th of February 2021 in Edinburg, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was five years young.

Brookie was born in San Antonio, Texas on the 9th of August 2015 to her parents, Tara Michelle Snodgrass and Michael Anthony Kristof, and later relocated back to Brownsville, Texas with her family. She was an avid adventurer of the outdoors, often enjoying swimming and boogie boarding, collecting seashells and starfish at the beach, bike riding, roller-skating, and playing on the swing set. Aside from venturing the outdoors, Brookie was also your typical girly girl who liked to play with dolls and was always fascinated by the movies Frozen and Tangled. She also had a love for animals, kittens and horses in particular. Brookie will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and glowing personality that lit up any room.

Brookie is survived by her loving and devoted mother, Tara Michelle Snodgrass (Gilberto “Mickey” Capistran, Jr.); her father, Michael Anthony Kristof; her sisters and brother Taylor Michelle Kristof, Ema Michelle Barron-Snodgrass, Olivia Michelle Barron, Jacklyn Michelle Barron, and Blake Noel Capistran; her loving and devoted maternal grandparents, Jack “Poppy” Snodgrass and Alicia “Grandma Alice” Snodgrass; paternal grandmother, Teresa Kristof; maternal great-grandparents, Samuel F. Snodgrass and Judy Mitchell; uncle, Michael Shane Snodgrass (Maesha Cuevas); cousin and her best-friend, Maekael Snodgrass; and family friend, Zabrina Torres. She is also survived by numerous extended family members.

The immediate family will gather for a private funeral service. At the request of the family, please respect their privacy.

Honored to serve as her pallbearers are Jack Snodgrass, Michael Snodgrass, Gilberto Capistran, Jr., Rolando Bautista, and Christopher Maley.

Our mornings always began with a cheerful “Good Morning, Mommy!” Brookie would then say, “Mommy, today is going to be a good day!” To conclude the day, a goodnight prayer was said every evening before bedtime, “Now I lay me down to sleep with The Lord.” You are our baby Brookie the Cookie forever. We love you and you will forever be within our hearts.
