Carlos "Charlie" Caballero

GARLAND/BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Carlos "Charlie" Caballero, 47, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on Saturday, the 30th of January 2021 at the Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, Texas, surrounded by family.

Carlos was born on January 27, 1974 to Benjamin and Maria Magdalena Caballero. He was a Brownsville native and attended Cromack Elementary, Faulk Middle School, and graduated from Homer Hanna High School. He married Elvia Guerrero on June 9, 1996. He was a devoted father to his three children and spent most of his time with them. Carlos had a passion for animals including his dogs and parakeets. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Caballero.

He is survived by his wife Elvia; his children Carlos Jr., Jaime, and Maggie; his loving mother, Maria Magdalena Caballero; his brothers and sisters-in-law Victor M. (Corina), Juan (Mary), Benjamin (Rosie), and Rolando (Angelica) Caballero; and by his nieces and nephews Cristina, Victor Jr., Johnny Jr., Benjamin III, Michael, Ayleen, and Rolando, Jr.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 11th of February 2021 between the hours of three o’clock and half past seven o'clock in the evening, with a recitation of the holy rosary to be recited at six o’clock Thursday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at nine o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 12th of February 2021 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan Street, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Committal services will follow via escorted procession to Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
