Edelmira E. Hilton

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Edelmira E. Hilton entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 6th of December 2023 in Brownsville, Texas. She was ninety-one years of age.

Edelmira was born in 1932 in Matamoros, Mexico. As we remember Edelmira, we celebrate a life well-lived, a love well-shared, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a gracious soul, will forever live in our hearts.

Preceding Edelmira in death were her parents, Antonio Silguero and Reynalda Villarreal Silguero; her loving husband of seventy years, Enrique Elias Hilton; her sons, Essau Hilton and Eliu Hilton; and her sister, Fatinitza S. Trevino.

Survivors include her son, Enrique E. Hilton Jr. (Maria); her grandson, Enrique E. Hilton III (Sheyla); her great-grandchildren, Merida Penelope Hilton and Enrique Rafael Hilton IV; and her sister, Amparo S. Delgado.

Visiting hour will be held on Monday, the 11th of December 2023 from eleven o'clock in the morning to twelve noon, with a service of remembrance to begin at twelve noon within the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Stateroom. Interment will then follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.

The Hilton Family wishes to express their gratitude for the care given to Edelmira throughout the years by the doctors, nurses and staff of the Valley Baptist Health Care System, South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, Solara Hospital, and Fox Hollow Post Acute Center.

The family also wishes to thank Graciela Perez and Maria Elena Martinez for their years of devotion.
