Elida L. Jasso

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Elida L. Jasso entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 27th of January 2022 at her residence in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her family. She was eighty-nine years of age.

Preceding Elida in death were her parents, Dionicio Lerma and Francisca Garza; sister, Florentina Rodriguez and her husband Antonio; and brother, Luis Garcia and his wife Vasilia.

Survivors include her children Juan Manuel Jasso, Jr., Maria Luisa J. Ruiz, Anita Montiel, Jose Carlos Jasso (Valvina), Irene Quintanilla (Mario), and Christina Martinez (Hector); fourteen grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; in addition to numerous extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 1st of February 2022 between the hours of twelve noon and nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock Tuesday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 2nd of February 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis Street, Brownsville. Committal services will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin D. Martinez, Gilbert Montiel, Oscar Montiel, Jacob Jasso, Jake Jasso, and Joseph Balraj.
