Elvira G. Flores

Elvira G. Flores, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Los Fresnos, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Elvira was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Elvira was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Angel Flores; her parents, Angelita and Irenio Gomez; and her siblings: Francisco Gomez, Maria del Refugio Chapa, Berta, Carlos, Raul, and Irene Gomez and Alicia Elizondo.

Elvira is survived by her children: Maria Aracelia "Mary" (Karl) Fangmann, Jose Uvaldo (Lori) Flores, and Jorge J. (Alicia) Flores; 4 grandchildren: Karl (Christy) Fangmann Jr., Patricia Fangmann (fianceé Coley Wood), Amber Flores, and Joseph David Flores; and 3 great-granddaughters: Mia, Corissa & Bianca Perez. Elvira will also be missed her numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue through 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 on Thursday, June 8th, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Rd. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Jorge J. Flores, Karl Fangmann Sr., Karl Fangmann Jr., Julio Elizondo, Coley Wood, and Carlos Chapa are honored to be serving as Elvira's pallbearers.
