Emilio Cesar Gonzalez, 57, beloved husband, father, son, and brother entered into the glory of his eternal life on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Gonzalez was a veteran of the U.S. Army having proudly served during the Vietnam War as a medic. He was employed by the BISD since 1993 in various capacities, most recently as a classroom teacher at J. T. Canales Elementary after having obtained his degree. He was a Good Samaritan who was always willing and looking for a way to help his fellow man. He will be greatly missed by all those fortunate to have known him.

His memory will be eternally cherished by those he has left behind: his beloved wife of 19 years, Melva S. Gonzalez; the daughter that was his pride and joy, Monica Eileen Gonzalez; his loving mother, Lillian S. Gonzalez; his sister, Elizabeth Augustin Pulido; 2 nieces, Yary Lizette Pulido and Karina Vitali Prolinski; and one nephew, Caesar Augusto Bibi Pulido.

Visitation was held yesterday in the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. and continue through 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, in the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Visitation will resume at 3 p.m. in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser and continue through 9 p.m. Friday evening. There will be a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

The funeral procession will depart from Darling-Mouser at 12:45 p.m. for a 1 p.m. graveside service on Saturday, Ocotober 20, 2007 at Buena Vista Burial Park. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the American Legion Post 43 Honour Guard under the direction of Commander Raul Leal.

Jesse Corona, Jorge Corona, Mike C. Silva, Jr., Arnulfo C. Silva, Caesar Pulido, and Francisco Purata are honoured to be serving as Emilios pallbearers. Ricardo Rico Vega will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
