Emma Cortez Rivera

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Emma Cortez Rivera entered into eternal rest on Monday, the 18th of March 2024 in Brownsville, Texas. She was sixty-nine years of age.

Emma was born in Brownsville, Texas on May 26, 1954, daughter of the late Rufino Rivera and Isabel Cortez Rivera. She worked at Haggar Clothing for twenty years. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo with her friends.

Preceding Emma in death were her parents, Rufino Rivera and Isabel Cortez Rivera.

Survivors include her sister, Elva Rodriguez (Guadalupe+); her brother, Eddie C. Rivera (Steve Garza); her nephew, Ricardo Rodriguez (Maria Lourdes); her grandnephews, Jacob Rodriguez and Jared Rodriguez; and grandniece, Bethany Rodriguez.

A private cremation will be held.
