Esther S. Rodriguez

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Esther S. Rodriguez entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 11th of April 2024 in the comfort of her Brownsville residence with her daughter Mary Lou and her grandson Jeremy by her side. She was ninety years of age.

Esther was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Esther was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.

Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Rodriguez; her son, Daniel Rodriguez, Jr.; her parents, Antonio and Eustolia Sanchez; and three grandchildren Steven Rodriguez, Jamie L. Pimentel, and Christian D. Pimentel.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children Diana Pimentel, Lupita Saenz, Sylvia Sierra, Arturo Rodriguez, Mary Lou Gonzales and Rolando Rodriguez; her eight grandchildren Tommy Gonzales, Jeremy Gonzales, Issac Rodriguez, Jessica Guzman, Ernesto Pimentel III, Ashley Gomez, Arturo Rodriguez, and Daniel Rodriguez; and several great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 16th of April 2024 between the hours of ten o'clock in the morning and one o'clock in the afternoon, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at twelve noon within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at two o'clock in the afternoon at Mary, Mother of the Church. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.

Tommy Gonzales and Jeremy Gonzales are honored to be serving as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for all of their support. A special thanks also to her caregiver, Jeremy Gonzales, for the loving care he provided for his grandmother.
