BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Famelisa Ibarra Sáenz entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 17th of March 2023 in the comfort of her Brownsville residence surrounded by her loving family. She was ninety years of age.

Famelisa was born in Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on February 19, 1933, daughter of Fructuoso Saenz and Arcelia Vela. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Preceding Famelisa in death was her husband, Miguel Ibarra, in August of 1995.

Survivors include her sons, Joseluis Ibarra and Jaime Ibarra; in addition to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 20th of March 2023 between the hours of four o’clock in the afternoon and seven o'clock in the evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 21st of March 2023 at the historic Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson Street, Brownsville.

The family will gather for a private inurnment at the Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum in Brownsville, where Famelisa will be laid to rest beside her husband.

Famelisa nació en Agualeguas, Nuevo León, México el 19 de febrero de 1933, hija de Fructuoso Sáenz y Arcelia Vela. Será recordada como una amorosa madre, abuela y bisabuela.

Precediendo a Famelisa en la muerte fue su esposo, Miguel Ibarra, en agosto de 1995.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a sus hijos, Joseluis Ibarra y Jaime Ibarra; además de varios nietos y bisnietos.
