BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Felipe Hugo Galindo entered into eternal rest on Monday, the 27th of October 2025 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas after a brief illness. He was 75 years of age.
Felipe Hugo was a man of quiet strength and enduring love. He was a dedicated family man.
After losing his father at the age of 15, Felipe took on the task of becoming head of the household, alongside his mother, by lovingly caring for his two younger brothers and three sisters. From that young age until now, Felipe always carried a special love and sense of responsibility for each of them. His favorite pastimes included fishing, playing Chalupa with his family, and working outside in his yard. He worked for Fisher Price Toys until he retired after 19 years of service. Shortly after, he worked for Home Depot.
Felipe was knowledgeable in many areas - a knowledge he was always willing to put to use helping countless family members and friends.
Preceding Felipe in death are his parents, Felipe and Paulita Galindo; his brother Rolando E. Galindo; and his sister, Mary E. Bottomly.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Grace P. Galindo, and his daughter, Liza Ann Galindo, both whom will always cherish his memory; his sisters, Beatrice Rosenbaum (Lucino Jr.) and Yolanda Rodriguez (Antolin +); his brother, Francisco X. Galindo (Cecilia); as well as countless cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved and treasured him.
We thank God for the gift of Felipe’s life, a life marked by patience, humor, and love. He is now rejoicing in his eternal heavenly home. Rest in peace until we see you again, our loving husband and cherished father.
