BROWNSVILLE, TX. - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fermin Gracia III on Tuesday, the 22nd of July 2025, a gentle soul who fought courageously against health challenges and radiated kindness, warmth, and joy to all who knew him.
Born in Brownsville, Texas, Fermin grew into a man whose character reflected unshakeable resilience and a deep, abiding compassion. Even in the darkest moments of illness, he faced adversity not with fear or resignation, but with a warrior’s spirit - refusing to yield, refusing to complain, always finding strength in love. Those who knew Fermin remember a person with an infectious laugh, unmatched wit, and a playful heart. Fermin joy was found in the simple pleasures of life - time with family at cookouts, shared laughter, and special moments spent with his daughters. He was a source of warmth and inspiration to all who knew him.
Fermin loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. His memory will forever echo in the hearts of his family - especially his two daughters, Sunny and Jolene, that he loved so dearly.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Fermin Gracia, Jr.
Survivors include his parents, Guadalupe Gracia and Fermin Gracia; his siblings: Aide G. Cervantes, Nancy Ramirez, Nereida Gracia, and Cesar Gracia; his daughters, Sunny Gracia and Jolene Gracia; his girlfriend, Maria Guadalupe Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law that he truly loved.
May we remember Fermin for the peace he brought, the gentle love he gave, and the warmth he shared in the world. Though he has left this life, his spirit remains alive in our hearts and through every kind act he inspired.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 25th of July 2025 between the hours of one o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with a blessing and recitation of the holy rosary to commence at seven o'clock Friday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
