Jaime O. Garza, Jr.

SUGAR LAND, TX. – Jaime O. Garza, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 21st of August 2026, at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. He was 32 years of age.

Jaime was born on September 24, 1993, in Houston, Texas, son of Jaime O. Garza, Sr. and Elvia E. Garza. He resided in Sugar Land, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Jaime attended Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugar Land and later attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

During his high school years, Jaime was a member of the engineering team that won the Texas State Championship and advanced to the Real World Design Challenge National Finals in Washington, D.C. He also played high school football and competed in track and field, qualifying for the Texas State Competition in pole vault.

Music was an important part of Jaime’s life. A talented artist and musician, he enjoyed singing, composing, and producing music and was an accomplished guitarist, and played the drums and piano. Jaime also enjoyed fitness and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Preceding Jaime in death are his grandparents, "Welito" Jose Aguilar, Oscar G. Garza, Sr., and Elia G. Garza; and his aunt and uncle, Rosie Genereau and Oscar G. Garza, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jaime O. Garza, Sr. and Elvia E. Garza; his sister, Stephanie Norris and her husband, Jason Norris; his grandmother, Marcelina Lilia Aguilar; his aunts and uncles, Pearl Beltran (Adolfo), David Garza (Glenda), Bea Garza, Patricia Armitage (Chris), Jessica Garza, Dora Morales (Angel), Jose Luis Aguilar (Terry), Shawn Genereau, Armando Aguilar (Patty), Carlos Aguilar (Linda), Victor Aguilar, Laura Aguilar (Taft), and Raychel Aguilar; as well as numerous cousins whom all loved him dearly and whom he loved back. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Jacques Sparrow, affectionately known as "Bud" and "Fat Cat."

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 31st of August 2026 between the hours of two o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to be recited at seven o'clock Monday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 1st of September 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.

Honored to serve as his pallbearers are Jaime O. Garza, Sr., David Garza, Adolfo Beltran, Chris Armitage, Carlos Aguilar, Jose Luis Aguilar, and Armando Aguilar.
