James Lee Musel

James L. Musel, 77, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

James was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

James is preceded in death by his parents: Petra and Frank John Musel; two sisters: Betty Lou Musel and Martha June Fields; and a brother, Frank John Musel Jr.

James is survived by wife of 48 years, Yolanda Musel; his son, James L. (Katie) Musel Jr. and a daughter, Eileen (Stephen) Gregory: 3 grandchildren: Matthew Musel, and Madeline and Joshua Gregory; his siblings: Marjorie (Warren+) Gibney, Joyce Ann (John) Winn, and Clinton J. Musel: and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. and continue through 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. We ask that everyone go directly to the church for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. In accordance with James' wishes, cremation will follow the Mass. Committal services for James' cremated remains will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Buena Vista Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in James' name may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
