James Michael "Mike" Price

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - James Michael Price, affectionately known as Mike, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 28th of May 2026 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He was 72 years of age.

Mike was born on November 12, 1952 in West Memphis, Arkansas, son of the late B. C. Price, Jr. and Lucille Louise Sprague Price. He attended Russell Elementary School, Central Junior High, and graduated Brownsville High School. A proud veteran, Mike served in the United States Marine Corps. He was also a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Brownsville. His favorite pastimes included his love for riding his Harley and fishing at Boca Chica Beach, and his later years were most enjoyed on the back porch watching his dogs.

Preceding Mike in death are his parents, B. C. Price, Jr. in 1990 and Lucille Louise Sprague Price in 2017, and his son, David Gerald Price in 2020.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Price; his son, Edward Coleman Price and his wife, Lorraine Perez Price; his grandchildren, Christian Lux Plata and Ethnan Orion Plata; his great-grandchildren, Aziel Cole Plata, Anali Elena Plata, and Mary Price; his sister, Judy Price Rentrop; his nieces and nephews, Roselynn King Choury, Jennifer Ann Stephenson, Ryan Price Rentrop, and Maria Herminia Rentrop; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; and his beloved rescue Chihuahua mix, Mama.

The family will gather for a private service.
