Jeannette N. Johnston

Jeannette N. Johnston, 100, entered into eternal rest in Fort Stockton, Texas on Friday, October 12, 2018.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Jacksonville, Texas to Robert T. and Etta Virginia Linton Johnston. A resident of Brownsville since 1945, she was a banker at First National Bank; retired from the Cameron County Law Library; was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Brownsville Medical Center and a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elvin Edgar Johnston; and two daughters, Lana Louise Johnston Besteiro and Betty Lynn Brown.
Left to eternally treasure their memories of her are her granddaughters, Joanna Besteiro Barnett and Junie Besteiro; a great-granddaughter Audrie Rae Barnett and a great-grandson Jacob Randall Barnett.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park
