Jerome "Jerry" Adelbert Rogers

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Jerome Adelbert Rogers entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 5th of February 2026 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. He was 85 years of age.

Jerry was born in Sioux City, Iowa on Christmas Day 1940, son of the late Wayne and Rhea Rogers. He attended Central High School in Sioux City and went on to serve in the United States Coast Guard where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Jerry was a member of the Word of God Church in Brownsville, Texas. He also served as president of Amateur Rodeo Club and member of C.H.A.R.R.O. Club W5CRC.

Preceding Jerry in death are his wife, Patricia Cason Rogers; his parents, Wayne and Rhea Rogers; and his brother.

Survivors include his sons, Scott and Steve Rogers, and his daughter, Faye; and his grandson.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 9th of February 2026, at Word of God Church, 2409 E. 17th Street, Brownsville.
