Jerry Bishop

LOS FRESNOS, TX. – Jerry Bishop entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 19th of October 2021 in Brownsville, Texas at the age of sixty-two.

Jerry was a devoted husband and loving father, the coolest uncle and grandpa, a trusted friend to many, and a jack of all trades handyman. He was a man of faith who was always ready to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. In his spare time off work, Jerry enjoyed flying drones, outer space, playing the guitar, and tending to his animals and beekeeping. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and friends and forever remembered for his radiant personality.

Preceding Jerry in death are his parents: father, Charles Ray Bishop and mother, Barbara A. Dolnik; brothers, Lesley Bishop and Charles “Speedy” Bishop; and sisters, Sheila Bishop and Charlotte “Sissy” Bishop.

Survivors include his beloved Wife, Jan Bishop; daughters Jennifer Valenza and her husband Ryan, Kerri Ward and her husband Craig, and Amy Hooker; sons, Tyler Hardy and his wife Lawrene and Nathan Hennessey; grandchildren, Emma Ward, Danielle Hooker, Zaniya Hooker, and Trey Hooker; sisters, Beverly “Monk” Bishop Hilbert and Denise Tscherny; sister-in-law, Patricia “Trish” Bishop; and brothers-in-law, Jon Garner and Robert Tscherny. Jerry is also survived by his beloved dog, Spike, and his beloved cat, Maui.
