John Barry Dorn

John Barry Dorn, 86, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at his daughter's residence in McAllen, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

John, a native of Florida, had been a resident of Brownsville for 62 years, having come here along with many others to shrimp in the Gulf of Mexico. John was the owner/operator of shrimp vessel Deborah Sue.

John was preceded in death by a daughter, Yolanda Sue "Susie" Dorn.

John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Yolanda G. Dorn; a daughter, Deborah Lee "Debbie" (Roland) Gracia; 2 grandchildren: Eric and Trisha Gracia; 2 great-grand-daughters: Deedra Lee & Desirae Lynn Gracia; a sister-in-law, Sheila Barreda; and a niece, Leeann Barreda along with numerous extended family members.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
