Jose Oziel Chapa

Jose Oziel Chapa, 66, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on December 31, 2007 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Oziel was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Hermelinda Rodriguez Chapa. He is survived by his wife, Eleonora Chapa, his children, Maria Paul Gonzalez, Blanca Victor Maldonado, Tomas David Esmeralda Chapa and Jose Oziel Chapa, Jr., 8 grandchildren, his siblings, Rogelio Chapa, Luz Maldonado, Olga Garza, Otalia Perez and Idalia Gutierrez, his father and mother-in-law, David and Maria Cantu, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 9a.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at 7p.m. in the chapel of Darling-Mouser. Funeral services are tentatively set for Thursday, January 3, at 2p.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be Tomas David Chapa, Oziel Chapa, Jr., Victor Maldonado, Paul Gonzalez, Rogelio Chapa and Oziel Cantu.
