Kevin N. Beumel

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Kevin N. Beumel entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 20th of March 2026 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. He was 61 years of age.

Kevin was born on May 26, 1964 in Streator, Illinois, son of Andrew and Judith Beumel. He attended Naperville Central High School and Northern Illinois University, where he was in the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. Kevin was a senior resolution specialist with Sedgwick Repair Solutions, and earned numerous certifications in the insurance industry. 

A devout Catholic, Kevin was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brownsville. His favorite pastimes included camping, dancing with his wife, and socializing with friends.

Kevin had a large and loving heart and will be greatly missed.

Preceding Kevin in death are his grandparents, Dick and Dorothy Beumel and Wes and Helen Wahl, and his aunts and uncle, Pat and Jerry Erwin and Marilyn Beumel.

Survivors include his wife, Meg Beumel; his children, Angela Beumel, Ashley Beumel, Fito Garza (Carol), and Jacob Garza (Lliana); his grandson, Stephen Garza; his parents, Andrew and Judith Beumel; his brothers, Andy Beumel (JJ) and Greg Beumel (Chrisstie); his cousins, Lisa Warwick, Lynette Giacinto, and Dan Erwin; nieces and nephews, Taylor Beumel, Samantha Simpson, and Cody Procaccio; and his beloved pets, Pete and Bella.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 27th of March 2026 between the hours of two o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to be recited at seven o'clock Friday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at one o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 28th of March 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville. All services will conclude at the church. Cremation will follow.

Honored to serve as his pallbearers will be Andy Beumel, Greg Beumel, Jacob Garza, Steve Flores, John Gregory, Austin Simpson, Anthony Ruiz, and Dave Ramos. Fito Garza will serve as honorary pallbearer.
