Kevin Bryan Isbell

RANCHO VIEJO, TX. – Kevin Bryan Isbell entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 1st of March 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at Methodist Metropolitan Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He was 66 years of age.

Kevin was born in Dallas, Texas on October 3, 1959, son of Charles B. Isbell and Dianne G. Isbell. They later moved to Brownsville where he graduated Homer Hanna High School Class of 1978. Kevin briefly attended Texas State University in San Marcos, so briefly, in fact, that he later described it as “the best two weeks of his life!” He returned to Brownsville and enrolled at Texas Southmost College where he met the love of his life, Sandra Sloss, and the rest was history!

He was the owner and operator of Bingo Gardens, Inc., International Bingo of Brownsville, Miracle Mile Bingo, Bingo Gardens Pharr, and Bingo Gardens McAllen, through which he contributed to numerous local charities and non-profit organizations, such as the Brownsville Historical Association, Sunshine Haven, Red Men Museum and Library of Waco, Texas, Zonta Club of Brownsville, Brownsville Jaycees, VTA Tae Kwon Do Academy, Boys and Girls Club, Hooked for Life “Kids Gone Fishing”, Blue Sunday, and Order of Alhambra Alva Caravan No. 91. He was also a board member of Mr. Amigo Association, Hooked for Life, and active member and past great sachem of The Improved Order of Red Men.

Kevin was known for his big heart and for making everyone feel like family and was the recipient of various awards, such as the 2020 Stillman Presidential Award, for his kindness and generosity to his community. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting, and his favorite pastime was spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren.

Preceding Kevin in death are his father, Charles B. Isbell; his grandparents, G. B. Garrett and Amma D. Garrett; and his father-in-law, Jesse W. Sloss, Jr.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Sandra S. Isbell; their sons, Dustin S. Isbell (Paulina) and Kristopher B. Isbell (Gloria); his mother, Dianne G. Isbell; grandchildren, Khloe B. Isbell, Dustin L. Isbell, and Liam B. Isbell; step-grandchildren, Christopher Gonzalez and Edward Gonzalez; his sisters, Lisa D. Nunez (Carlos) and Brenda A. Alvarez (Artemio); his mother-in-law, Norma Sloss; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rosemary “Tweety” Parra (Tommy), Jesse W. “Rusty” Sloss III, David H. “JoJo” Sloss (Ana), and Deborah “Tuni” Sloss; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who will miss their "Uncle Kimpy".

Kevin was truly one of a kind and the undeniable life of the party. He had a joke ready for every occasion, whether the occasion needed one or not. His presence could light up any room, sometimes before he even made it through the door. Kevin never met a stranger, and he treated everyone he met like family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Kevin and Sandra shared a passion for the beach and the water, a place that became their happy place. They spent countless hours at South Padre Island, where Sandra would watch Kevin surf as they enjoyed the peace and beauty of the ocean together. In honor of that special place in their lives, Kevin’s Celebration of Life will be held on the island by the water, where it all began.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, the 11th of March 2026 between the hours of five o'clock in the afternoon and eight o'clock at night, within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
