McALLEN, TX. - Luis Alberto De La Garza went to be with the Lord on the 22nd of August 2021, following a bravely fought health struggle in McAllen, Texas. Luis Alberto was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was born in Houston, Texas, on the 13th of April 1971 to his parents, Ninfa Rodriguez De La Garza and Juan Alberto De La Garza. The family moved to General Terán, Nuevo León, Mexico in the early years of his childhood and later returned to Houston during his adolescence. On the 6th of March 1993, he married the love of his life, Martha Esthela Cantu.  During the ensuing years, he devoted his time to his growing family and to entrepreneurial enterprises in the restaurant and transportation industries.

Luis Alberto is preceded in death by his father, Juan Alberto De La Garza; his brother, Juan Pablo De La Garza; and his grandparents, Pablo De La Garza, Consuelo Cortina De La Garza, Juan Rodriguez Elizondo, and Jovita Oviedo Rodriguez.

Luis Alberto is survived by his wife, Martha Cantu De La Garza; his son, Adrian Alanis and wife Monica Martinez Alanis; his daughter, Andrea De La Garza; his son, Juan Pablo De La Garza and wife Cristina Cavazos De La Garza; his son, Luis Alberto De La Garza; his sister, Gloria De La Garza and husband Dr. Nemecio Lopez; and his sister, Maribel Farish and husband George Farish II.  He is also survived by his mother, Ninfa Rodriguez De La Garza; his granddaughter, Ana Lilia De La Garza Cavazos; his niece, Dr. Ana Gabriela Gonzalez and husband Ruben Gonzalez; his nephew, Dr. Nemecio Lopez and wife Eleonora Larrazabal; and his nephews, Daniel Farish and Isaac Farish.

Visiting hours will be held at four o’clock in the afternoon on August 24th at Kreidler Funeral Home located at 314 N. 10th St., McAllen, Texas 78501. A funeral service will follow at seven o’clock in the evening within the Kreidler Chapel.
