Ma. Donaciana Rdz Rowland

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Ma. Donaciana Rdz Rowland born on September 6, 1925 in Salamanca Guanajuato, Mexico but raised in Mexico City. She was called to her final resting place on Tuesday, the 22nd of August 2023 at the age of ninety-eight surrounded by her family and providers. 

She loved gardening, especially roses, but her talent was in her cooking. She had the unique skill of cooking without recipes. It was all by heart. 

Preceding Ma. Donaciana in death were her sons-in-law, Ralph Munoz and Eutimio “Timo” Hernandez. 

Survivors include her four beloved daughters Alejandra Hernandez (Timo+) of San Antonio, Texas, Linda C. Barrera (Horacio) of Brownsville, Texas, Belinda Munoz (Ralph+) of Brownsville,  and Yolanda Rowland-Araujo of San Antonio; her nine grandchildren Glenda H. McLean (Neil), Timo Hernandez IV, Rebekah Barrera-Davis (John), Michael Barrera, Elissa Barrera-Neeley (Bryan), Anabel M. Aranda (Albert), Ralph Munoz, Jr., Elizabeth A. Orozco (Gerard), and Emily A. Faitz (Justin); her eleven great-grandchildren; and her sisters from Mexico City, Carmela Rdz. Carrillo and Alicia Rdz Navarro. 

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 28th of August 2023 between the hours of half past ten o’clock in the morning and half past twelve noon, with a service to begin at twelve noon within the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Stateroom.

The family will gather for a private graveside service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons Michael Barrera, John Davis, Bryan Neeley, Timo Hernandez IV, and Ralph Muñoz.
