Maria Garza

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Maria Garza, 69, of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 10th of June 2021 at her residence in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her family.

Thank you Mom for being someone we always have been able to turn to for acceptance, assurance, and love. Someone who taught us values that will last a lifetime, someone who keeps growing dearer to us all the time. Thank you Mom for filling our life with so much love. No matter where we are you will always be a part of us.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Ester Gracia; and by her sister, Enedina Gracia.

Maria is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-seven years, Ruben Garza; children Ruben Garza, Jr. (Clara), Debra Dewalt (Clegg), and Leonel Garza (Monika); and by her grandchildren Ruben Garza III, Adrian Garza, Alexander Garza, Kaylee Garza, Nathan Garza, and Oliver Garza.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 14th of June 2021 between the hours of five o’clock in the afternoon and eight o'clock at night within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, the 15th of June 2021 within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Interment will then follow, via escorted procession, to Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ruben Garza, Jr., Leonel Garza, Clegg Dewalt, Frank Garza, Ernesto Garza, Jr., and Leonel Fernandez.
