Martin Arambula

Martin Arambula, 91, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, January 17, 2021, unexpectedly at his residence with his family at his side.

Martin was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Martin was preceded in death by 3 infant children; his daughter, Angie Arambula, his parents, a sister, Esther Arambula Perez; and a son-in-law, Eduardo “Lalo” Hernandez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving and devoted wife of 67 years: Helen Grant Arambula; his loving and devoted son, Martin C. Arambula; 3 adoring daughters: Selma Hernandez, Eva H. Woodfin, and Laura (David) Alvarez; the 6 grandchildren that were his pride and joy: Lizzette (Ray II) Holloman, Giovanna (Michael Ray) Garcia, Edward William (Sheyla) Hernandez, Kathleen Michelle Woodfin, David Michael Alvarez II, and Diego Martin Alvarez; and the 6 great-grandchildren that were the apple of his eye: Gianna Holloman, Ray Holloman III, Makayla Garcia, Ava Garcia, William Hernandez, and Emma Hernandez. Martin will also be missed by his brothers and sisters: Ernestina A. (Enrique) Martinez, Zulema A. (David+) Rocha, Alicia A. (Maximilliano+), Villarreal, Maria A. (Juan) Martinez, Dora  (Joel) Arambula, Raul (Jacinta) Arambula, Oscar (Connie) Arambula, and Jorge (Genoveva) Arambula along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue through 7:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The funeral Mass is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22,  2021, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson St. Committal services will follow the Mass at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Martin C. Arambula, David M. Alvarez, William Hernandez, Ray Holloman II, Ray Holloman III, and Jose Elias Rocha Arambula are honored to be serving as Martin’s pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There is a limit of 50 persons within the funeral home at all times due to the COVID situation. Please follow current social distancing guideline and regulations. A face mask will be required during all services at all times.
