BROWNSVILLE — Mrs. M. Hilda "Mimis" Salinas Silva, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt entered into eternal rest on Good Friday, the 15th of April 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

M. Hilda, affectionately known as Mimis, was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on October 29, 1948, daughter of Gregorio Silva and Celfa "Chepita" Rodriguez. Her favorite pastimes were helping others, cooking, cleaning, and doing the laundry. She also enjoyed spending time and drinking a good cup of coffee with her sisters Juanita and Nena. Mimis dedicated her life caring for her mother “Chepita”, her mother-in-law Maria Guzman, her husband Roberto, and raising her two daughters Magda and Miriam. Preceding her in death was her husband, Roberto "El Jefe" Salinas; her parents Gregorio Silva and Celfa “Chepita” Rodriguez, her brother Julian Silva; her favorite nephew (that's what they say lol) Jose Alberto Trevino and her beloved sister Juanita Trevino.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Magda Isela Olvera (Juan) and Miriam Ivette Rodriguez; her beloved grandchildren, Mitzy Olvera and Fabian Arturo Rodriguez; her ex son-in law Mark Rodriguez; her sister Maria Elena Salinas (Ruben), and her nieces and nephews which she loved as her own: Laura Rodriguez (David), Arturo Trevino (Carmen+), Norma Torres (Santana), Guillermo Trevino (Mary), Sandra Rocha (Bobby), Roberto Martin Salinas, Hilda Elena De la Cruz, and Claudia Vasquez (Ruben). Numerous great nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
