Nathan Henslee Holtzman

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Nathan Henslee Holtzman, born in Brownsville, Texas on the 22nd of January 1997, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, the 7th of April 2026, while staying at a friend’s house in Denton, Texas. He was 29 years of age.

Anyone who knew Nathan well knew that he struggled with depression and substance abuse, but anyone who knew Nathan at all knew that he was one of the smartest, kindest, and most generous souls you could ever meet. He loved deeply, longed for true connection, and was almost always seen in the company of animals. It did not seem to matter what variety of animal, he loved them all.

He is survived by his parents, Marcos “Kito” Holtzman and Dabney Holtzman; his siblings, Micah Holtzman, Liam Holtzman, and Abigail Holtzman; and by his grandparents, Lynn Roberts, and Larry Holtzman and Susan Holtzman.

Visiting hour with the family will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 15th of April 2026, with a memorial service to commence at two o’clock in the afternoon within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will then follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.
