BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Norma Lee Browning-Garcia, age 75, entered into eternal rest Sunday, 27th February 2022 at her home with her children by her side. She was born on October 4, 1946 in Brownsville, Texas, daughter of Milton Lee Browning and Celia Sandoval Browning.
After attending Brownsville High School, and graduating in 1966, she began working with the Brownsville Independent School District as a paraprofessional in various schools such as Castaneda Elementary, El Jardin Elementary, Egly Elementary, and Perez Elementary making it a total of forty-one years of service to education. She loved playing Bingo and also enjoyed the little love of her life, which is our dog Bone-Z.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Lee Browning and Celia Sandoval Browning.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lee Garcia; son, Mark Anthony Garcia; sister, Mary Jane Martinez of Channelview, Texas; niece, Jeri Michelle Martinez of Fort Worth, Texas, and nephew Michael Jay Martinez of Dallas, Texas.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 4th of March 2022 between the hours of three o’clock in the afternoon and six o'clock in the evening, with a Celebration of Life Service to commence at five o'clock Friday afternoon within the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
