Orfelinda Raquel Fasci

Orfelinda Raquel Guajardo Fasci passed away on 02/03/2020 at the age of ninety-two. She was born in Lampazos De Naranjo, Nuevo Leon Mexico, to Isaura and Santiago Guajardo. She married Enrique Jesus “Henry” Fasci on December 5,1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Linda Guadalupe and granddaughter Alexis Kristina.

Orfelinda was a woman of courage and strength and an inspiration to her friends and family when at the age of fifty-six after the death of her husband and partner of thirty-five years, she returned to college and earned an Associate Degree. Orfelinda was a woman of faith who devoted her life to God and her family. She actively practiced her faith as a Eucharistic Minister for Saint Joseph parish, visiting the sick and elderly to administer the Eucharist; and taught catechism to the children of the parish. Orfelinda loved gardening and dedicated a rose garden in her backyard to the Virgin Mary.

Orfelinda was a dedicated mother who provided guidance and support to her daughters and sons from childhood to adolescence to adulthood. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and talking to them about God and teaching them how to pray. She played games with them and talked to them about never giving up and being good sports; sang oldies while teaching needle stitching and baked cookies and empanadas.

Orfelinda is survived by her three daughters Cynthia Raquel and husband Raul Castellano (Deceased), Teresa Guadalupe and husband Javier Flores, Dora Alicia and husband Juan Carlos Marquez; five sons Enrique Gerardo and wife Hortencia, Anthony James and wife Maria de La Luz, Gilberto Javier, David Jesus and wife Magda Veronica, Mario Cesar and wife Yvonne; and forty-five grandchildren and great grandchildren.
