Petra H. Salazar

Petra H. Salazar, age 76 of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest at her residence October 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was a graduate of Brownsville High School, and received her associates degree at Texas Southmost College. She was an insurance agent for over thirty-five years. Her passion for reading books and gaining knowledge was passed on to her children and grandchildren. She was an extremely accomplished seamstress and enjoyed baking pies. Petra was a strong-willed, courageous, and fearless woman. She had an unwavering love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed and will forever be in our hearts.

Her life will always be cherished in the lives of her children and grandchildren; Diana P. Villegas (Ted Villegas), both of Watsonsville, CA., Francisco Salazar Jr. (Mari DeJesus Valdez), both of San Antonio, TX, Rosalva Salazar, Georgina Salazar, and Roberto C. Salazar (Laura Salazar). Nine grandchildren: Antonieta Salazar, Miranda Rose Salazar, Stephanie A. Longoria, Robert G. Salazar, Norma D. Salazar, Francis Salazar, Jacob Robinson, Brianna Salazar, and Matthew Robinson. Three great-grandchildren: April Salazar, Anabelle Maciel and Abriela Maciel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George G. Hernandez, and Porfiria Hernandez, her loving husband, Francisco B. Salazar and her adoring son, Miguel Angel Salazar. Three brothers and one sister.

Her family would like to share an inspirational quote that best described her:
