Rafaela Z. Villarreal

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Rafaela Z. Villarreal of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 6th of November 2019 at Fox Hollow Post Acute surrounded by her loving family. She was ninety-two years old.

Her husband, Alberto Villarreal; parents, Jesus Zapata and Antonia Vela Zapata; and siblings Manuel Zapata, Conrado Barrera, Maria Teresa Barrera, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children Raquel Gutierrez (Antonio) and Ramiro Villarreal; and by her brothers, Jesus Barrera and Victor Barrera. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 8th of November 2019 between the hours of one o’clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with a prayer service to begin at seven o'clock Friday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

A chapel service will commence on Saturday, the 9th of November 2019 at twelve o’clock in the afternoon. Interment will immediately follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
