Ricardo Castro

Ricardo Castro, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 22, 2016. He was 87 Years old.

We were so lucky to have been Blessed with such a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. We will always remember the amazing, smart, kind and generous man who has left his mark on us forever. He worked overseas for 30 years as Administrative Manager for Brown and Root INC. His work took him and his family to countries such as Venezuela, England, British Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala, and Columbia. He also served in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents Baltazar Castro and Aurora Castro; Sisters Elodia Castro and Maria Aurora Castro.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Raquel S. Castro; son Ricardo E. (Dahlia) Castro; Daughter Raquel Castro (Faustino) Ramirez; 3 granddaughters Breanna Nicole Castro, Nina Raquel Ramirez, and Daniela Sofia Ramirez. Brothers-in-law Eustorgio Saldivar and Fransisco Saldivar.

The Family would like to thank all the Doctors & Staff at Valley Baptist and Solara of Brownsville. We are especially grateful to Dr. Lorenzo Pelly for all his efforts, dedication, and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of The Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Monday January 25, 2016 in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
