Roberto "Bob" Vela

Roberto Bob Vela, 46, beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at his residence in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville.

Bob was preceded in death by his step-father, Ruben H. Garza and by his brother, Jose Luis Cantu.

Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his loving mother, Maria Josefa Garza, three brothers: Jose A. Tony Georgia Ann Cantu, Justo L. Tonie Cantu, and Abelardo Vela, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 7, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the North Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m.The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009 in the North Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
