BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Rosa Hinojosa, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and woman of unwavering faith, peacefully entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, the 4th of November 2026, at the age of 80.
Born on November 1, 1946, in Brownsville, Texas, Rosa lived a life rooted in her deep love for God and her family. Her faith was not simply something she practiced, but something she lived each and every day. Through life’s blessings and challenges, her trust in the Lord never wavered. Even in her final days, Rosa continued to praise God, singing worship songs and giving Him all the glory. Her beautiful faith was a testimony to everyone around her and will forever remain one of her greatest legacies.
Rosa was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother whose family was her greatest earthly joy. She loved wholeheartedly and gave selflessly, always placing the needs of those she loved before her own. Her home and her heart were always open, and her family could count on her for love, comfort, encouragement, and prayer.
Rosa dedicated 30 years of her life to Walmart, where she demonstrated the same hard work, dedication, and kindness that she brought to every part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco Hinojosa, who passed away in 2015. Her family finds great comfort in knowing that they are now reunited in the presence of the Lord.
Rosa leaves behind her loving children, Nora (Ruben), Frank (Nadia), Rodney (Caro), Norma (Ryan), and Stevie (Claudia).
She was a cherished grandmother to Frankie, Randy, Jake, Jason, King, Isla, Brigitte, Rodney, Maya, Emma, and Romina. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and the love she poured into their lives will remain with them always.
Rosa is also survived by her beloved brothers, Santos and Art, and her sisters, Juanita and Rubia, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and family bonds.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we rejoice in knowing that Rosa is now at peace, free from pain and suffering, and resting in the eternal presence of the Savior she loved so dearly.
Her life was a beautiful example of faith, unconditional love, humility, and devotion to family. While we will miss her presence, her voice, her prayers, and the warmth of her love, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the faith she instilled in us.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
Until we meet again, we love you, Mom.
