Ruben "Chacho" Jose Rodriguez Jr.

Ruben Jose Rodriguez, 34, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at his residence in Brownsville, Texas.

Chacho, as he was affectionately known to all was a lifetime resident of Brownsville. He worked in the family's landscaping business and in his spare time enjoyed going fishing. Chacho was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends, but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Chacho was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Frances C. and Paul Longoria; his paternal grandparents: Florentina C. and Guadalupe Rodriguez; 3 paternal aunts: Rosalinda Valdez, Evangelina Garcia, and Juanita Salinas; and a paternal uncle, Arnoldo Rodriguez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Chacho are his loving parents: Sylvia Longoria and Ruben J. Rodriguez Sr.; 2 sisters: Sofia Lorena (Damian Aguilar) Rodriguez and Rachel Reneé Rodriguez along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Sunday, May 13, 2018 and continue through 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at St. Eugene de Mazendo's Catholic Church,5409 Austin Rd., Brownsville, Texas. All services will conclude after the Mass and cremation will follow. Private interment of Chacho's cremated remains will be held at a later time.
