Ted Walter Albright

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Ted Walter Albright entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 7th of January 2021 in Brownsville, Texas at the age of eighty-seven.

Ted was born on August 24, 1933 to his parents Theodore and Margaret Albright in the township of Rosebud, Montana. After graduating from Rosebud High School, Ted later went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Ted formerly resided in Helena, Montana and Salina, Kansas before relocating with his family to Brownsville, Texas. As an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Ted attended the men’s bible study as well as numerous church activities and functions. He was also a member of the Jaycees and was a substitute teacher.  In his spare time, Ted enjoyed bird watching and traveling the skies by flying,  utilizing his private pilot’s license. Ted will be greatly missed by all of those fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of knowing him.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of sixty-six years, Mrs. Roberta J. Albright; daughters: Cinda Sparks (Corbet), Karen Van Riper (Kent), and Jeanne Defferari (Douglas); nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marilyn Wise.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1225 Boca Chica Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78520 on Tuesday, the 12th of January 2021 at 10:30 in the morning. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2035.
