Teresa De Jesus De La Paz Herrera

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Teresa De Jesus De La Paz Herrera, affectionately known as Terry, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 24th of June 2025 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. She was 95 years of age.

Terry was a long-devoted wife and aunt to so many family members. As she did not have any children of her own, she helped raise many of her nieces and nephews. She was a very kind, loving, nurturing and a feisty beautiful woman. She will be deeply missed.

Preceding Terry in death are her parents, Ernesto De La Paz and Elvira Gomez De La Paz; her husband, Eugenio B. Herrera; her sisters, Maria De La Luz De La Paz, Ana Maria De La Paz, and Concepcion De La Paz; her brothers, Juan De La Paz, Carlos De La Paz, and Ernesto De La Paz; and her niece, Maria Elena Garcia, and nephew, Jose Luis Garcia.

Survivors include her loving and devoted nieces and nephews, Roxanne "Roxie" Blevins- Pena, Hunter Blevins, Ayden Blevins, Mary "Lisa" Pena, Amber Andrade, Emma Juarez, Indie Jo Andrade, Rory Rudolph Pena, Faith Marie Pena, Rory Rudolph Pena Jr, Manuel Garcia, Felipe Garcia, Maria Serur, Eduardo Garcia, Ernesto Garcia de la Paz III, Elvira De la Paz, Rosy De La Paz, and Henry De La Paz.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 11th of July 2025 beginning at the nine o’clock in the morning. A Chapel Service will commence at twelve noon. Interment will then follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.

Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Manuel Garcia, Luis Delgado, and Joseph Garcia.
