BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Valentin M. Ramirez, 89, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, the 31st of August 2025 at his home in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.
Valentin was born in Brownsville, Texas. He was a butcher in his early years in Corpus Christi and moved back to Brownsville after marrying our mother Eva. He became a pipefitter for Brown and Root and was able to provide for his family and pay off his home which he was very proud of. A great accomplishment considering a 3rd grade education.
Valentin was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; his parents, Alfonso and Damiana Ramirez; his brothers, Alfonso, Jr., Ramiro, Roberto, and Refugio Ramirez; and by his two sisters, Guadalupe Ramirez and Sophia Ruiz and daughter-in-law, Delia Ramirez.
Left to eternally treasure his memory are his children: Valentin Ramirez, Jr. (Laura), Guadalupe Maria Chavez (Alvaro), Patricia Ana Farch (Richard), Luis Martin Ramirez, and Eva Ramirez; and his 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 4th of September 2025 between the hours of three o’clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ten o'clock on Friday, the 5th of September 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
Honored to serve as his pallbearers are his grandsons Valentin Ramirez III, Davey Ramirez, Carlos Camarillo, Andrew Chavez, Christopher Ramirez, and Carlos Estrada.
