BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Our father, Victor DeAnda entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 30th of June 2026 in Harlingen, Texas. He was 85 years of age.
Our dad has been an inspiring role model, always displaying tremendous love and care for our mother, and family. Although our dad worked many years as a welder for Marathon LeTourneau and Magnetek National Electric Coil in Brownsville, the toughest job he took on wholeheartedly, was to care for our mother. He provided our mother with the best care and enhanced her daily routine with detailed attention for the past 12 years. To support our father with this overwhelming responsibility, we added a caretaker to the mix. His next prideful move was to train the caretaker to understand the regimen he had in place for our mom. When the caretaker was on duty, our dad would tinker with repurposed wood and fixing things. He was always making some sort of bench, and his notes with measurements can be found all over the house. He was a truly disciplined man. "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." — A.A. Milne
Victor was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Cynthia Ann DeAnda; by his parents, Jose and Santos Rosales De Anda; by his sisters, Eustolia Esparza, Estefana Salas, Lucila Munoz, and Raquel De Anda; and his brother; Juan R. De Anda.
Victor is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Evangelina DeAnda; his sons, Victor DeAnda Jr. (Theresa+) and Jorge Luis DeAnda (Sonia+), and his daughter, Lilia Cabrera (Arturo); his grandchildren, Avery DeAnda, David DeAnda, and Jorge Alberto DeAnda; by his brother, Jose R. DeAnda (Norma); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
