Victoria Garcia Gonzalez

Victoria Garcia Gonzalez, 96, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, Sept. 28th, 2016, at Sunshine Haven Hospice Facility in Olmito surrounded by her loving family.

Victoria was a lifetime resident of Olmito. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and aunt. Victoria was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.

Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Ascencion "Chon" Gonzalez; her parents, Rosa M. and Eleuterio Garcia; and her siblings: Guadalupe Garcia and his wife Alvina; Gaspar Garcia Sr. and his wife Maria, Lucas Garcia, and Dario Garcia; and a sister-in-law, Emma Mejia Garcia.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her sister, Beatriz "Bea" (Sixto+) Castillo; her brother, Rafael and his wife Lupita Garcia; two sisters-in-law, Maria and Carmen Garcia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will start at 3:00 pm and continue through 9:00 pm on Thursday, Sept. 29th, 2016, in the West Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 pm Thursday evening. The Liturgical Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, Sept. 30th, 2016 at Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church, 9178 Tomas Cortez Jr. Street, Olmito, Texas. Committal services will follow at La Palma Cemetery on Alton Gloor Blvd. in Brownsville.

Victoria's nephews are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved aunt.
