Wanda Baker Pope

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Wanda Baker Pope entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 2nd of February 2022 in San Benito, Texas. She was eighty-six years of age.

Wanda was born in Searsboro, Iowa on May 26, 1935, daughter of Raymond E. Baker and Ruth A. Brignon Baker. On December 6, 1986, she married Tom Franklin Pope in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they moved to Irving, Texas, and later to Grand Prairie, Texas. In 1993, Tom and Wanda moved to Brownsville, Texas where they enjoyed the company of numerous golfing friends at Valley International Country Club.

Preceding Wanda in death was her husband, Tom Franklin Pope; and her parents.

Survivors include her sister, Norma Joyce Innis of Grinnell, Iowa.
