BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Yvette Michelle Yzaguirre, affectionately known as Yvettey, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, the 14th of June 2025 in the comfort of her Brownsville residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 54 years of age.
Yvettey was born on January 22, 1971 in Brownsville, Texas, daughter of Oralia Yzaguirre and the late Pedro Manuel Yzaguirre. She attended Lincoln Park School and graduated from Gladys Porter High School. She loved to color, working on puzzles, and tracing. She enjoyed playing a variety of games on her Nintendo Switch and Wii and sang along to Selena songs of which she knew all of the lyrics. Her favorite movies includes Grease the Musical, Rocky Balboa, Jaws, Rush Hour, and The Karate Kid.
Preceding Yvettey in death are her father, Pedro Manuel Yzaguirre, and her aunts, Aurora Maza (Juan Jose) and Mickey Baker (Alfonso +).
Survivors include her loving and devoted mother, Oralia Yzaguirre; her siblings Pedro Manuel Yzaguirre, Jr., Ymelda Gonzalez, and Yara Gavito (Ricardo); her nieces and nephews Marisa Gavito (Jaime Ruiz, Jr.), Maricela Gavito (Isabel Abal), Eli Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Pete Yzaguirre III, Marcelle Yzaguirre, and Ricky Yzaguirre; her aunts, Alicia Guerrero (Salvador) and Mary Lou Vasquez (Manuel); and numerous cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 19th of June 2025 between the hours of five o’clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 20th of June 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln Street, Brownsville. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Pedro M. Yzaguirre, Jr., Marcelle Yzaguirre, Marisa Gavito, Jaime Ruiz, Jr., Maricela Gavito, and Isabel Abal.
